The ITA – FLU vaccine against Avian Influenza
Virus
Facing the development on several continents
of the Avian Influenza, LAPROVET contributes to the fight against
this plague of poultry farming by commercialising an inactivated,
highly concentrated vaccine in oil emulsion, H5N2 strain. This
vaccine is produced in Mexico and matches the highest international
quality standards: it includes the quality of the antigen,
of the formulation and of the controls, as well as the quality
of the equipments and production facilities. Why from Mexico
? Since 1994, year of the first Influenza virus isolation,
this country is submitted to constant Avian Influenza attacks
and the vaccination permitted to contain the enzootic. The
H5N2 strain has been chosen by the Mexican Government for its
antigenic quality. The « H5 »hemagglutinin allows
to protect the chickens against all the viruses of the same
H5 group including the H5N1 virus which is the source of all
problems since the first cases in Asia in 2003. |

Several hundred million doses of this vaccine have been sold since its first commercial
launching 5 years ago. Then, LAPROVET offers to the poultry farmers
the ITA – FLU vaccine already registered in international organisations
as the OIE or UA-IBAR.
LAPROVET created also the “Pack of Efficient Protection against
Avian Influenza” including the vaccine, the disinfectants and
protection pieces of equipment. |
